A fines de Junio del 2006, ARTENEMO ofrecerá el taller FOTOGRAFIA LIQUIDA: Narrativa en Tiempos Digitales. Gran parte de la llamada fotografía "digital" es fotografía pensada de manera tradicional y producida mediante herramientas digitales.
Las nuevas tecnologías permiten sin embargo crear NARRATIVAS INTERACTIVAS en que el usuario no solo elige su propio recorrido o punto de vista, sino que cambia la forma de relacionarse con la obra de arte, el espacio y la ideología detrás de este.
Este taller esta dirigido a todas aquellas personas que desean aprovechar internet y la fotografía digital para rescatar el perdido arte de la narrativa tal como lo definiera WALTER BENJAMIN en su texto EL NARRADOR. A través del estudio de este texto, el análisis crítico de obras clásicas de la narrativa interactiva y la producción de REALIDADES VIRTUALES QUICKTIME se estimulará la imaginación y habilidades de los participantes.
El taller intensivo tiene una duración de 32 horas en dos fines de semana. El cupo está limitado a OCHO personas y el ingreso es mediante revisión de portafolio. El taller será impartido por JORGE ALBAN , quien cuenta con 12 años de experiencia docente entre la Universidad Veritas, Escuela de Fotografía Memorandum, Centro de Cultura Fotográfica y Colegio Universitario de Alajuela, y ha sido galardonado en dos ocasiones con el premio Bienarte de Artes Visuales. Towards the end of June 2006, ARTENEMO will offer the workshop LIQUID PHOTOGRAPHY: Narrative in Digital Times. Much of the so called "digital" photography is traditionally thought-out, and only digitally produced. New technologies allow the creation of INTERACTIVE NARRATIVES so the user not only gets to choose itinerary and point of view, but also changes his relationship to the work of art, space and the ideology behind it.
This workshop is intended for people that wish to take advantage of internet and digital photography to rescue the lost art of narrative, as defined by WALTER BENJAMIN in his text THE STORYTELLER. Through the study of this text, critical analysis of classic interactive narrative works and the production of QUICKTIME VIRTUAL REALITIES the workshop seeks to stimulate the imagination and abilities of the participants.
The intensive 32-hour workshop will take place in two weekends. It is limited to EIGHT people and acceptance is by portfolio review. The workshop will be directed by JORGE ALBAN , who, for over 12 years has taught between Veritas University, Memorandum School of Photography, Centre of Photographic Culture and Alajuela Community College CUNA.
